Education and Assistance for Hiring Youth
During the 2017 UBCM conference, Council arrived as a delegation to speak to serveral Cabinate Ministers on a variety of issues relating to Village interests. One of the meetings was with the Minister of Advanced Education, Skills, and Training: the Honorable Melanie Mark. During this meeting Council discussed the challenges facing small communities to access training opportunities and ways to retain young people to move the local economy forward.
